Should Garchomp use stone edge or rock slide?
For "uber" teams, use stone edge. Excadrill's right about that. But, for a general team for just common in game battles, use rockslide. More pp, hits both opponents, does good damage, and can make people flinch.
Rock Slide is a step-up from Rock Tomb in terms of damage as it has a 75 base power in Pokemon GO. Rock Slide also possesses a cheaper energy cost. Although it was nerfed down from 80 base damage last year, Rock Slide is still an effective move to deal damage and bait enemy shields, thanks to its energy cost.
Rock Tomb -is- recommended for Breloom in Gen VI. On non-Rock types Stone Edge is better just for the damage, but with Technician Breloom can make good use of Rock Tomb, especially if you predict a TFlame switch in.
Rock Slide is a Rock type charged move that deals 80 damage and costs 50 energy in Pokemon GO. It has a 2.7s cooldown and it deals damage between in the 1.5s to 2.6s animation interval. Rock Slide is boosted by PartlyCloudy weather and it deals increased damage to Bug, Flying, Fire and Ice types.
Garchomp's best moves in Pokémon GO are Dragon Tail and Outrage (15.19 DPS). Garchomp is vulnerable to Dragon, Fairy and Ice type moves. Garchomp is boosted by Windy and Sunny weather.
Rough Skin is Garchomp's best ability before Mega Evolving and can be used to get chip damage on Kartana or Landorus-T using U-turn. However, it shouldn't be used in a fashion like that liberally, since Mega Garchomp doesn't have recovery and is not bulky like TankChomp.
1 Stone Edge
Compared to Rock Slide, Stone Edge has a higher base power of 100 at the price of 80 percent accuracy. It also has a higher chance of landing critical hits. This means that hard-hitting physical attackers like Tyranitar and Rhyperior will surely deal some serious damage, as long as they hit their target.
Stone Edge does 100 damage for a full bar of energy. That's 1 DPE, one of the lowest in the game. Close Combat is exactly the same as Stone Edge (100 damage/full bar), except for the type. Many people consider Close Combat a mediocre move.
Only being able to be used once and always hitting its target, Splintered Stormshards has a base power of 190, the highest of any Rock-type Pokemon move in existence. Paired with moves like Sucker Punch, Rock Slide, and Crunch, a perfect, powerful moveset would be in store for trainers.

Does Rock Tomb always lower Speed?
Rock Tomb deals damage and lowers the opponent's Speed by one stage. It has a power of 50, 10 PP, and 80% accuracy. Rock Tomb can be used as the second move of a Pokémon Contest combination, with the user gaining 3 bonus appeal points if Rock Throw was used in the previous turn.
A rock slide is the sliding motion of rock along a sloping surface. In most cases, the movement is parallel to a fracture, bedding, or metamorphic foliation plane, and it can range from very slow to moderately fast.

Rockfalls and rockslides are when one or more individual blocks fall from a steep cliff. Rockfalls are defined as having relatively small volume, and occur more frequently than larger rockslides.
1 Answer. Earthquake is the definite victor here. It provides much nicer coverage, and some individual pokemon that Feraligatr just can't hit quite as hard. Plus the fact that Rock slide being only 90% Accurate, can screw you over quite easily.

Garchomp is now one of the best Ground-type attackers in the game. With awesome stats and useful resistances (especially that near immunity to Electric-type attacks), Garchomp will surely dominate bosses where Ground-type attacks are the best choice.
Garchomp doesn't really have any flaws. It has the best offensive STAB combination in the game, great speed and attack, enormous bulk, fantastic offensive movepool, two great abilities, and just enough special attack to beat the very few things that would dare stand in Garchomp's way.
Gible performs best paired with sandstorm, as it can help evade some hits from the opponent to make up for its terrible Defense and Special Defense. Gible displays an array of useful sets, all of which make it a welcome addition on any sandstorm team. Outside of sandstorm it is largely outclassed by Bagon and Dratini.
Garchomp was Cynthia's most powerful Pokemon. She debuted in Top-Down Training, where she battled Lucian's Bronzong and won, blocking Flash Cannon with one of her fins and then defeating Bronzong with an incredibly powerful Giga Impact, which normally would not do much damage to a Steel type.

Is Rock Blast better than Rock Tomb?
#4 - Rock Blast
Doing 50 damage, this move surprisingly does less damage than Rock Tomb. The trade-off; however, is that it has three bars, so Pokemon can use one Rock Blast after only charging 33% energy. It still does 23.81, which is a higher DPS than Rock Tomb.

Ensuring there is enough water on the slide at all times is essential to getting ample acceleration and avoiding friction burns. Having a main water source at the top that runs to the bottom as well as sprinkles of water along the way makes for a slippery, cool and fun slide.
A rock avalanche is very similar but includes a large volume of rock that loosens from the mountainside or cliff. Rockslides are more like landslides and often occur when the underground structure is compromised causing an entire part of the mountainside to slide downward.
The two major types of slides are rotational slides and translational slides.
Rockslide possesses superhuman strength. He is capable of lifting 75 tons.
What do you call a rock slide?
Landslides are masses of rock, earth or debris moving down a slope.
While a landslide occurs when loose dirt or sediment falls down a slope, a rockslide occurs only when solid rocks are transported down slope. The rocks tumble downhill, loosening other rocks on their way and smashing everything in their path.

For this reason, P-waves are not the most damaging earthquake waves. P-waves travel through solids, liquids, and gases. S-waves are slower than P-waves.
Triangles are the go-to shape for earthquake-resistant buildings. Their shape provides more resistance to twisting motions, reducing the swaying of a building during a quake.
Garchomp is a Power-type playable character in Pokkén. Moves he can use include Dragon Claw, Dig, Dragon Rush, Stone Edge, Earthquake, and Sand Tomb.
Garchomp is both Dragon-type and Ground-type. This means it's weak to Fairy, Ice and opposing Dragons.
Both are great moves, but Dig does a lot more damage and it causes your opponent to (usually) miss one of its attacks while Garchomp is underground. Dig is the better choice for an offensive Pokemon.
Garchomp is resistant to Rock, Poison, Fire, and Electric-type Pokemon in Pokemon GO. The max CP for this Dragon-type Pokemon is 3,962.
1 Stone Edge

Can Cynthia Garchomp run out of PP?
Eventually it'll run out of PP for Earthquake (it can only use it 10 times) and you can move in your Steel-type to chip it away and finish off!
Garchomp is capable of performing two Fast Moves: Mud Shot and Dragon Tail. Both of these moves make the most of the STAB bonus so it's best to decide between the two based on your opponent.
A Pokémon with strong Ice-type moves and a high Defense will do well against Garchomp. The Dragon and Ground-type is the only one of Cynthia's Pokémon that uses primarily Physical moves, so you'll want to keep your Special Defense powerhouse on the backline while facing it.
Weavile and Froslass are great options being strong and fast ice type pokemon, both can outspeed Cynthia's Garchomp, and OHKO with Ice Punch and Ice Beam respectively.
Competitively Dragonite might be better than Garchomp.
Higher attack stat. Higher defenses. Higher special attack stat (if you want a mixed or special attacker)
Garchomp is likely the single best physical attacker in the game due to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's lack of new Ground-type Pokemon, and the fact that it can use Terastallization to become a full Ground-type, increasing the damage of its Earthquake and reducing incoming Dragon, Fairy, or Ice damage.
Bulldoze is another similar move to Earthquake in that it hits all opponents and allies in a Double Battle. It does, however, have a much lower damage output than Earthquake.
1 Answer. Sandstorm isn't a good move in general, spending a turn to throw out some residual damage and a chance of an opponent missing is worse than just killing them with a better move. Yeah, it's a waste of an ability, but a small handful of Pokemon around Gen 3-4 didn't have a useful ability yet.
